The air separator filter for a screw compressor performs a separation function by passing compressed air for treatment into the system through a separate section. The air separator system helps protect the compressor due to its special operation and provides high quality purified air.

Oil filters for compressors

This type of filter is designed to remove impurities and harmful particles from various oils (motor, transmission). In this case, the oil filter for the screw compressor is used to clean the oil in compressors. Oil filters have the following requirements:

• the filter must have adequate dirt holding capacity, i.e. the ability to retain and accumulate a large number of various impurities contained in the oil. This property of the filter depends on the size of its filtering element and determines its service life;
• the filter should ensure the optimal fineness of collection of various impurities. This property is determined by the size of pores in the filtering element;
• the air and oil filter for the compressor must have a small hydraulic resistance to facilitate the flow of thickened oil;
• the filter must have a high body strength for the cases of an emergency increase in pressure in the lubrication system or external mechanical influences.

It is an indispensable element in a compressor that prevents dust and other contaminants in the air from entering the compressor during operation. Compressor air filters work by passing air to trap solids and separate liquids from compressed air.
